Nov. 3 - Homework (ATM interface research)

Research the interactive interface of an ATM machine. Based on your research, create a detailed flowchart of the ATM process.

You must also address the following questions in your notebook before Wednesday's class:

1. Describe the look and feel of the interactive interface? Background, colors, typeface, visual hierarchy, borders, etc.

2. Are any icons used throughout the interface or on buttons?

3. Pay attention to the terminology/language used to explain the different steps of using the ATM, as well as for the buttons.

4. Study the positioning/layout structure of the information, buttons, and additional dialogue present on each screen.

5. Throughout the process is there a button that allows you go back to the previous screen or cancel the transaction?

I recommend you take notes, sketch, or take a pictures of the ATM interactive screen interface. This information will be very valuable later this week.

Your flowcharts should be saved as PDF and named "yourname_atmflowchart.pdf". They should be dropped onto the AI share drive in the Designing for Multimedia Displays, Nov. 5 folder folder by 9am, Nov. 5.
